Get ready for a soulful journey of spoken word, poetry, live music, freestyle, and rap. Hosted by our resident poet, Karoo Chanti, whose words move from the personal to the political with raw emotion and depth. He’ll be joined by the soulful guitarist Jairo Habib, weaving his melodic strings and Latin grooves into the night’s energy.

We’re turning up the heat with Barcelona’s hottest emerging Afro-diaspora artists, showcasing their freshest sounds and projects. Expect live painting, spontaneous moments, and an Afrobeats DJ set to close the night with rhythm and fyah. Don’t miss the magic.

The Philosophy

Afropoesia is about creating a safe and inclusive space for migrants, women, LGBTQ+, and creatives of all backgrounds. We believe in the power of self-expression — that everyone has an important story to share, no matter your age, race, or gender.

We’re a canvas for artists to experiment, connect, and shine without fear or judgment. Afropoesia is more than an event — it's a movement, a community of multicultural creatives who believe in the power of unity and the beauty of our collective voice.

Prepárate para un viaje conmovedor de palabra hablada, poesía, música en directo, estilo libre y rap. El anfitrión será nuestro poeta residente, Karoo Chanti, cuyas palabras van de lo personal a lo político con emoción y profundidad. Filosofía

Afropoesia es crear un espacio seguro e inclusivo para inmigrantes, mujeres, LGBTQ+ y creativos de todos los orígenes. Creemos en el poder de la autoexpresión: que todo el mundo tiene una historia importante que compartir, independientemente de su edad, raza o sexo.

Somos un lienzo para que los artistas experimenten, conecten y brillen sin miedo ni juicios. Afropoesia es más que un evento: es un movimiento, una comunidad de creativos multiculturales que creen en el poder de la unidad y en la belleza de nuestra voz colectiva.
